Bright light
I live next to a apartment complex and they for some reason think they need the brightest light to light the parking lot and it shines right into the one side of my apartment down the street. This one light could light up a football field. I have the shades closed and it still shines threw. Kinda like the kenny roasters sign in seinfeld lol. The apt owners have done this before, i called boro they took care of it,for awhile. Going to try to call tomorrow, any other suggestions besides shooting it out lol.

They make poster board in sizes bigger than the window I would think. Get some velcro and put it on the top corners and bottom corners of the window sill if you're willing. Cut the poster board to size and put the velcro in the corners to match.

We have some curtains in our bedroom that block 90 pct of the light. I think I've even seen some at the local Walmart.

looks to be within range of a good break barrel pellet gun......I would probably go that route. No one would hear it at 3am.

That light does suck. I would definately ask them to change it to a small wattage. If they won't I'm not sure why curtains wouldn't work. My wife used to get horrible migraines to the point she would turn into a vampire and couldn't be around light of any kind. A big reason we always had black out curtains in the bedroom.
If they are dicks about it then shoot that bitch out.

My grandfather always had aluminum foil in his bedroom window when I was a kid...it was on the back side of the house so you couldnt see it from the road or anything, but his room was as black as a cave if you closed the door. He took naps during the day for about an hour and didnt want any light in that room lol

That would be annoying as hell. I hate early morning sunlight blaring in my bedroom in the morning. A bright light like that at night would drive me nuts...
Get an inexpensive vinyl black out roller shade. Get it wider than the window and hang it outside of the window casing to completely cover the window. At least that way you can easily have light come through during the day when you want. I have them on several windows that get direct sunlight at different parts of the day in my home (it also saves on air conditioning costs during the summer). I usually order mine from JCPenney.

Call the cops out a few times.....eventually they'll get tired of coming out and do something about it. I would imagine if you get in touch with the right people that run the apt complex they will take care of it for you. Just may be a pain in the ass until that point.
