Black / White- '00 T/A M6/'19 Hemi Truck
So i've got a similar story...so while I was out in California my wife told me the back of her car was making a noise when she would brake. After she described it and said that it only happened sometimes I was pretty sure she was starting to wear through a pad so I told her to take it to a shop that I've used before since I wasnt there. Told her what to do, what to say, and what to ask for...they look at the car and say that the brakes were fine and send her on her way. By the time I get back from California "2 weeks later" the car was making a grinding noise every single time you applied the brakes. It was the kind of noise that makes you cringe when you hear it because you know its metal on metal....took the wheel off and the pad looked just like the one you posted. I was beyond pissed...Called the shop, explained to them how to look at brake pads and how to inspect vehicles the correct way and then swapped them out myself. Had to replaced pads and rotors in the rear...

Forgot to ask my Ford question -- on the '11 F-150 I had in the garage the other day there was some doohickey attached to the top brake caliper pin bolts on the rear disc brake setup. Any clue?

anti vibration device? Ford is very fond of using rubber donuts mounted to random bolts to cure drivetrain vibes.

Was that doohickey attached to a dingus or a thing-a-ma-jig?

Forget an anniversary of some obscured importance to her? Usually that's what it turns out to be....

so it's a normal day in the life of a woman?
I hear that chocolate, not dead yet flowers and/or a bucket of ice cream usually helps them through the day.
