I'm jealous as hell of the pheasant.....I would love to come up that way or to the dakota's and do a bird hunt. Me and my buddy have talked about that for 2 decades now and have never done it. I'm cooking the last 5 pounds of deer steaks I have this week for the guys down at camp. I have 11 pounds of burger left. I'm gonna need to put something on the ground soon.

Pheasant is fun hunting.... as long as they are around lol. I hunt a couple different private lands. The one I shot these one shares borders with public land. One day I found a huge cage in the middle of a field on the public land. I think the DNR releases pheasants from those cages and they often make their way onto the private land. I only had my .17 hmr rifle and my bow. So I shot them with the rifle in the head and the others just stood there. So I shot another one and my buddy who was sitting in his truck watching got out, loaded his .22lr and shot one too. Then the others flew away.

That's because every range has a big sign/s saying no rapid fire. When you deal with people that are armed who can't follow simple rules, you'd likely be the same way. It is posted for a reason.
Sounds similar to someone bitching about getting a speeding ticket going 70 in a 55. If you obey rules, you don't get reprimanded. Pretty simple lol.Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

my range officer isnt too bad...but my range is pretty awesome haha so the range I go to is spread out across like 250 acres and its owned by a guy who's family has lived on that same land since before the civil war. The house he lives in dates back to the 1800's...I have an AR with a bump stock and I can go through half a drum and they dont really care as long as its controlled. Now, if I went to the big indoor range in downtown Nashville they would run me off...

Yea, they a sign with all their rules on it. Not saying he didnt break a rule for .5 seconds. But quickly firing off 5 or 6 .22lr rounds after being there for a couple of hours follwing the rules isn't something you need to go off the deep end about. The way it was handled is what made him a range nazi.

If someone gets injured, it's probably his job...which would lead to affecting his personal life and family. Range personnel are pretty much responsible for the reinforcement of rules so everyone remains safe. Especially at an outdoor range where more people are present. He probably deals with hundreds, if not more, incompetent people a year. Don't blame the guy really. He probably has to tell people that same thing several times a day. Would drive me insane too lol. Hence why I enjoy managing myself.
Not condoning acting like an ahole to get a point across, just stating I would probably get fed up with people not following rules all the time.
Our indoor range is pretty low-key. It helps if they see you regularly though as they're a little more lenient.

I used to work customer service for a mortgage company. Customers would call in about the same shit over and over again even though it was stated on their statements or escrow analysis or whatever it may be. I didn't get to act like a dick because the customer before the current one had the same questions or made the same error. Can't handle it.... get a new job. You have to be a member to shoot at that range and to buy guns from the shop. I passed their tests(yes there is a shooting test and a quick written) have bought two firearms from them and used to go there all the time. But non of that matters really, he shouldn't be an asshole to anyone unless they are a consistent rule breaker hence range nazi. He was also the same guy who made the rule only one firearm can be out of it's case at a time. Even though that isn't one of the shops rules and the other range employees never said a word about it.

Your previous job didn't put people in danger. Big difference, but I agree.
