is this year more excessive or has there always been about this much trouble every year only this year it's been talked about more? I know just about every year there are a handful of cases going on it seems like. Just getting more attention this year I believe.

I really don't know what to say that you think nothing is wrong with this. I'm sorry you were abused as a child, but there's nothing about this that's ok. I've been waiting for someone to come into the thread with the "well it happened to me as a youngster so I think it's ok and today's society is a bunch of pussies" argument. There's nothing ok with leaving multiple contusions on a child's body (especially a four year old) through the use of a stick, including hitting the child in the testicles. And stuffing leaves in the child's mouth while beating them? Who the hell does something like that? And the kid saying that he has a "whoopin room"? What...the...fuck. Can you imagine how bad the kid was bleeding right after it happened? A four year old...

And for the record, I got my ass beat more than once as a child. Never by a stick or belt, but plenty hard enough with a hand that it hurt to sit down for a good while. I have no problem with parents exercising physical discipline on their children, but this is so far beyond appropriate it isn't even close.

AP just lost his career, and rightfully so. If Ray Rice lost his for punching his adult wife once, this one should be open and shut pretty quick. He's already out for Sunday. Roger Goodell is in full fledged panic mode right about now as well.

I remember seeing reports it wasn't the first time Ray hit a gf. Plus watching the videos its obvious he's a pro at it since he never really looked upset he did it just that he got caught

I see one of two things happening for us this season...either Payton and Brees get really pissed and fix this stuff and we go on a winning streak or we only win like 5 games and the owner and the GM finally realize that we need to revamp our defense instead of grabbing offensive players like they have been doing...I dont think Rob Ryan is the issue, I think our defensive players are the issue.

Cowboys surprised me I honestly expected them to loose, even though I picked them for the pick 'em league. Their picks are toss ups for me this season.

I hope so...but I hope that the vikings kicker actually kicks some field goals this weekend. He scored me like 15 points my first week in fantasy and scored me a big fat goose egg yesterday because his kick got blocked...wasnt really his fault, but it hurt me a little. I still won my game though...Brandon Marshall and Peyton Manning saved the day and I still have Jeremy Maclin to play tonight against Indy as well.

With the Aint's being 0-2, they are going to lay the smack down on the Vikings next week. Brees and company are gonna be pissed off, and most likely will score nearly 100 points.

It seems from what I'm reading/hearing everyone expects the saints to flip a switch at some point and start wrecking teams. I guess it could happen but what I see is a team that's a complete wreck right now. Our D has some huge huge short comings that can't just be fixed in 1 week. Patrick Robinson sucks ass and has no place being on the field, our special teams is probably the worst in the league, our D line is getting next to no pressure on QB's even with atlanta's shitty offensive line, and on offense we run the same plays we were running 5 years ago. I just don't see this getting fixed over night. I think they're going to win a few games.......probably mostly home games.....but right now they're not a playoff team unless they make some major changes.
