Stupid tourists, the monks are thinking. We get as far away as we can, and they STILL FOLLOW!

So how long does it take to get to the top, on average?
Don't recall seeing that anywhere.
I climbed a portion of the Great Wall in China back in 2010. It was in January. There was different checkpoints and the stairs were pretty steep. This reminded me of that. Those planks though lol...those are nuts.
I wonder how often those are serviced or maintained????

Just think you make it all that way and you still have to go back down, you'd be SOL if you couldn't make the trip back down. I assume you don't go back down the way you came as the planks aren't wide enough for two people can go back down them at the same time.
It's probably helicoptered in, the trail is probably for kicks just to see if anyone would actually do it.Last edited by 98TransAmWs-6; 01-07-2014 at 05:14 PM.

I'd have a parachute for the express down.

Or even 1 of the winged suits so you can just fly down. THAT would be worth the climb. How pissed would you be though if you climbed up there and the sign on the front door says, "sorry, were closed"

I don't think people climb to the very top for the tea lol. It's a sense of accomplishment and the view is probably awesome.

That's probably how they get away from their wives.
"Bitch won't follow me up here."

That def looks beautiful, but what if it started raining when you got 1/2 way up? THAT would really suck. Stuck on a 9" board, 100's of feet in the air, holding onto a piece of flimsy 100 yr old rope, in the pouring rain!!
