I found a place cheap to get the chairs then i noticed there is a new version of this table(d52) with a different style chair, but it's still the same color and would match the older style table i have

Given the round legs on the table, IMHO, if you could get the chairs that have the round backs that go with it, they would go much better than the others even if they are the same wood grain and stain color.

Besides KR, Jodi & Orion I'm not sure you'll get much input of furniture here.

LS1.com is the first place I think of for the greatest reviews on Ikea's latest trend setting ideas.
But seriously, this is like asking for the best speakers for your car stereo while on a lasagna recipes forum.
Sure, you might get some responses, but few are going to be heavily invested enough to provide input beyond which speakers look better.
That said, I like whichever ones are cheaper. Free is best.

Go for matching first...then cheap. OR print a picture of both out, tape to the wall of the dining room and go with the style that fits the room shape, ceiling height, etc.
Honestly that table is hideous, but I'm a glass and metal modern type girl that doesn't care for wood grain anything.

This is what I was thinking.
Not a fan of that table. We have a pretty simple and functional table though....it has a self storing leaf. Other than that as long as it's relatively flat and keeps my plate from sliding off I don't really care what a table looks like for the most part.

Yup. No girl is going to let you have your way with her on that thing.
Regardless of that though, you need to get the 1st selection of chairs that are round for the reason KR pointed out. The 2nd table is square on the ends...hence so are the chair backs.Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.
