MO Dems Introduce Confiscation Bill
When did Missouri become a Communist state like Calli/NY?
Thank God I don't live there, if I did I would move.....
Missouri Dems Introduce Alarming Gun Confiscation Bill Giving Law-Abiding Gun Owners 90 Days to Turn in Certain Firearms or Become Felons | TheBlaze.comDemocrats in Missouri introduced startling anti-gun legislation that would require gun owners to hand over their legally purchased so-called “assault weapons” to “the appropriate law enforcement agency for destruction” within 90 days.
Under the proposed bill, “Any person who, prior to the effective date of this law, was legally in possession of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine shall have ninety days from such effective date to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution.”
Here are some additional provisions found in the gun control bill:(1) Remove the assault weapon or large capacity magazine from the state of Missouri; So essentially the law would turn a law-abiding gun owner today, into a felon tomorrow.
(2) Render the assault weapon permanently inoperable; or
(3) Surrender the assault weapon or large capacity magazine to the appropriate law enforcement agency for destruction, subject to specific agency regulations.
(4) Any person who, prior to the effective date of this law, was legally in possession of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine shall have ninety days from such effective date to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution:
5. Unlawful manufacture, import, possession, purchase, sale, or transfer of an assault weapon or a large capacity magazine is a class C felony.
State Reps. Rory Ellinger (D-86) and Jill Schupp (D-88) reportedly introduced the anti-gun legislation, House Bill 545, this week.
Gun confiscation is being talked about more and more by lawmakers as a means to get so-called “assault weapons,” which are really semi-automatic rifles, off the streets. Democrats in California last week also proposed legislation that called the potential confiscation of the state’s 166,000 legally purchased semi-automatic rifles.
California Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg (D-Sacramento) defended the massive gun control package, saying “we can save lives.”

republicans have a veto-proof majority in the MO legislature, ...i.e. MO is nowhere near a commie state, and this POS bill isn't going anywhere..
...no state is safe from having bills like this introduced (any yahoo in the legislature can "introduce" a bill), ... this is happening because "there are commies", otherwise known as urban-center democrats, are in every state... there is a national "push" by the democrat party, led by barak hussein nero, to infringe on the 2nd amendment, ...so it crops up in state legislatures as these billls...
what DOES concern me is colorado... why?... because colorado has a democrat legislature AND governor, ...and the commies their just rammed through a draconian mag-capacity bill through their judiciary committee...Last edited by wileyCoyote; 02-14-2013 at 04:50 PM.

You guy's are sooooo lucky to be in a state which follows the constitution. Look up what NJ, my state just introduced yesterday and it will make you sick. It even includes confiscation of any and all semi automatic wepons. I may have to move to PA which is only 15 miles away because of the property taxes (avg. home is 9k per year) and all of the income taxes. Pile that on to the new gun regulations if they pass and I am outta here. Our republican gov. Krispy Kreme Christy has turned RINO on us and we still have Frank Lautenberg who if sooo anti gun he will give Obama a run for his money. What the hell is going on in America. It wasn't like this 10 year ago.

So far in OK it looks like they are giving more gun rights to teachers, and looking to enrich gun rights instead of banning weapons. We just recently passed an open carry bill into law. I believe they are getting ready to introduce a bill that would allow permit renewal online as well. As long as nothing horrific goes through at the national level, I believe we are good here.
That MO law is nuts, but as stated before, it will not pass.

Whenever you wanna see waht crazy really is... just look to CA. Check out these proposed laws which have a good chance of passing in CA. Owners must be liscensed and registered and must carry FIREARM liability insurance. All ammo purchases must also be reported to the state and you can only buy 500 at one time.

And Cali wonders why they have a mass exodus.....
High taxes, Unfriendly to Business, and now this. Hopefully soon Calli will have much less electoral votes in the upcoming election cycles.

It has its ups and downs. The bad part is the faaaaaaar right nut jobs, we seem to have a higher percentage of those as well. They call themselves conservative, but they just haven't looked in the mirror long enough to see how radical they really are. I do my best to stay open minded, but I am never open to having any of my rights stripped away. That MO bill could work at Night Trips...
