The cats really tame down the noise from these Magnaflow systems. I've heard the Magnaflows on several cars without cats and they aren't exactly quiet as so many people claim them to be.
As yours sits, it's not obnoxious sounding at all.

I knew the Magna flow would be quiet thats why I had to get a Cut-out, the video doesnt really do it justice.

I probably wouldn't go as far as saying it's quiet
But it is very mellow with cats. Cats seem to tame down most systems.
That Magnaflow without cats however gets pretty darn aggressive in my opinion.

my 2 cents...
for those reading through here like i did forever, debating which exhaust will sound best, i will give my personal nod, car was stock ls1 z28 with a lid, i wanted the perfect combo of power sound/not obnoxious. i found that gmmg is what i wanted without a doubt, but 7,8,900 for exhaust wasnt for me. i went with SLP Loudmouth2, and am very happy. start and idle are loud, but quality loud, not just noise. little drone here and there at certain speeds, but nothing the radio doesnt cover. and at WOT, it sounds like a true muscle car, deep and mean. stainless and great sound for 359 bucks, very satisfied.

yeah ive heard way too much that anything other than stock with loudmouth gets nasty, but i have no header plans for quite some time, stock mani's and cats give it just enough backpressure to let it sound good.

That Borla y pipe isn't gonna work with headers, right? So you'll be buying headers and y pipe. I had Kooks headers, kooks y pipe (no cats), and Borla cat back. Fits good, but was raspy at mid throttle. Cruise, idle, and WOT sounded great
-------------------------------------Kooks 1 7/8" race headers, Kooks ORY, Borla catback, Nitto 555R, LS6 intake manifold, Shaner S3 ported stock throttle body, SLP lid, smooth bellows, JAAM Ram Air kit, Elite Engineering catch can, LS6 valley cover, EGR and AIR deleted, Frost tune, and Simpson Racing child car seat in the back. 13.2 @ 108MPH
