Navy Blue- 1999 Camaro Z28
will this setup work?
On tire rack they have the American Racing Torq-Thrust M's. The front size is
17X9
45mm offset
6.85'' backspacing
5.475 bolt pattern
245/45-17 rec. tire size
Would 275/40-17's work with the 17X9's on all four corners? Its a 99 Z28.
It recommended 17X10.5 for the 275's but would that even look right? Would there be any rubbing with the 275's on all four?
Also what is the widest tire i could use on the 17X10.5's? Could i use 315's in the rear and 275's on the 17X9's in the front?99 Z: Lid, catback. 13.2@108
Coming in dec. 315's, 4.10s, lts.

I dont want it to look stupid, just kind of natural. I wouldnt mind running 275's on all fours if it would be the smartest for a mainly street driven vehicle.

The 275s might bulge slightly. I run 275s on my rear 9.5" wheels. I think there are members who run 315s on 10.5" wheels. I could be mistaken. Other members will chime in here.

The factory size wheels are 17x9 with a 275/40 17. I don't see why it'd be a problem with those wheels, unless the offset or backspacing is an issue. IDK what the OE specs are for the wheels.

there would be no rubbing and those tires would look good on that rim go to the 10.5 like they say it would almost have the "stretched" look

Factory 16x8's are 55mm offset and the factory 17x9's are 50mm offset.
Found that info on this site. I'd say those Torque Thrust would fit no problemo. And they do look great.
I also know that the 275/40 17 tires have an approved rim width of 9-10.5''. If you want the best possible wear from any set of tires, get some that are non-directional so when you rotate them (every oil change or 5k miles) you can rotate them (eventually) to all four corners. Obviously that could only be done with the same size tire/wheel combo, and not directional tires. For an F-body like ours, the front tires swap sides as they go to the back, and the rear tires go straight forward.
