I always drove Firebirds my entire life, when I was 17 and able to afford my 1st car which was a 1974 Firebird Esprit (350 2-barrel), boy could that car run. The only problem it rusted liked crazy, I traded it for a 1979 Firebird which was dressed up like a Turbo Trans Am, man did it like nice. But it couldn't pull a "fart out of a shoebox", whoever owner it before me put a Buick 6-cylinder in it and instead of putting a bigger and better engine in it I trade it off on a 1986 Firebird which was a very nice runner and good looking car. It had a 305 4-barrel motor that was easy on gas as long as you keep your foot out of it. But the unfornate happened, I hit a farm tractor with it and totaled it.I had to find a car fast, I looked all over but couldn't find a Firebird that I liked so I bought a 1985 Mercury Cougar which was a good car but NO Firebird. Couple years later I traded the Mercury for a 1991 Firebird Formula with a WS6 package, WOW was I ever surprised. I didn't know how good a car could handle the road.
To keep the '91 as long as possible I built a two-car garage and keep it for over 10 years, in that time I got a '99 Chey pick-up for work. Then mid-life crises hit me and the '91 had 150,000 miles on it and it started to break down alot and started to rust. I looked all over for a 2002 (the last of the breed), finally found one two states away and bought it.
Now I have a problem, I have two Firebird Formula's and a pick-up and only a two car garage. So I sold the '91 to make room for the '02.

Phantom Black Metallic- 2004 GTO M6
Hmmm...mewonders if Y2K will change his mind and keep his?

I would keep the rims. Just do performance mods. Anything cosmetic should be the grille.

Navy Blue Metallic- 2000 T/A Firehawk M6
I'm only 3.5 years into this relationship. I've got a lot done in that time. Gotta think about what I want for 2013. Personally would love some heads. That'll only leave a stock cam and bottom end in the car. Well... Ok still stock k member and front arms.... But otherwise barely a stock part left.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Nice!
I've actually owned (i.e., titled in my name) 14 Camaros (6 67's; 2 ea 68 and 69; 89 RS; 96 Z28 vert {bought it new}; 1998 Z28 and the 2002 in my sig) since 1974. In addition to the 02 Z28 I still have a well optioned 67 (undergoing a long term resto).
1st Camaro was a 69 SS 396 that I bought off a used car lot back in 74 when I was 19. Spun a rod bearing racing it. Only gen I haven't owned is a 2nd gen and I almost bought a 72 RS just before I bought the 1st 67 back in 78. This gal had a 72 RS with 40,xxx on it and she wanted $2500 for it. I offered $2000 and she said no. I found a good 67 RS for $750 and bought it instead. Day after I bought it (needing some engine work, tires and brakes - easy fixes) she called and said ahe'd take the $2000. Oh well!
I've owned somewhere around 50 cars (muscle as well as more pedestrian types) in my life. Back in the day (70's-80's) they were just used cars. I've had more, I just didn't own them. Back in the 80's I had an auto repair shop and I did a bunch of "tune and turn" as well as some more extensive work on quite a few cars. So many that Cali made me get a used car resale license as well as my shop license from the BAR. Seems if you buy and sell more than 6 cars a year you need a license. At least that's how it was back in the 80's.67 Camaro: K-K + 797-z (look it up), 454/Th400/4.10 12-bolt = 6mpg, PS/PDB/PW tilt, tach, gauges...
2005 Corvette LS2/M6 Magnetic Red Metallic (What else would it be?) w/ Cashmere interior
2002 Z28: NBM/Tan, MTI smooth lid, smooth bellows, !AIR, !cats, 1-3/4" QTP SS LT's, 2-1/2" TD's with X-pipe, MagnaFlows dumped at axle, custom welded SFC's, MidWest Chassis body mount adjustable T/A, 3400 stall, 3.23 gears (was 2.73). Tuned: 343rwhp/357rwt (before TD's). Best: 12.559 @ 108+, 1.73 60' @ 3500' DA w/MT ET Street DR's.

Black- 2000 WS6 6spd Hooker LT
Yep still have Too Fast, since 2005, no plans to sell her. Had a '98 TA before that, a '67 400 4 speed car for 11 years before that, and a '67 that had a Pontiac 350/4 speed in the 80s. I still have my '68 Le Mans drop top in the garage next to Too Fast, 12 years now.

I hope I never ever have to work on one of those POS again in my life. Happiest day this yr was the day my niece traded that shit box in for another car.
