Err...My local machine shop charged me $850 to build my L32 for my GTP. They must be really expensive out by you.

Um yeah. Charged my friend 1600 to do all the work on his short block parts and assembled. And on a cheap 302 motor. I'll ask my machine shop when i take the crank in. If it's not to bad i might suck it up and ask the Grandma to help me.

Assisted on swapping out a timing belt on a 2001 ZX2 this evening. A lot simpler than the last two I changed on Mopar offerings. It was the stock belt with 130,000 miles and all the teeth were missing along a 10" run and were half gone in another spot. Apparently it is not an interference engine as all is well.
