code p0178 question
hi guys... im looking at a 03 tahoe, z71. it has a p0178 code. which is flex fuel sensor i belive.... how expensive is to fix it? the truck drives fine but what does that exactly do? thanks for the help
00 ss blk m6 " STOCK" strano springs, slp bilstein shocks, adj LCA, adj panhard bar, relocation brackets, 2 point SFCs welded,OEM zo6 rims black, magnaflow exhaust, CME exhaust,E/cutout, slp grille, custom front plate mount, HIDs, whistler mod, side moldings delete, slp air lid, ported and polished TB, strut tower brace, 3.73s gears, and some other parts to list!
next to come,4.10s,ls7 clutch, ms3 or 228r cam, ported 243s, ls6 intake, ls6 oil pump. ls2 timing chain, longtube headers no cats, with a tune..
02 tahoe Z71 blacked out

It monitors the fuel and tells the ecm if you are using 10% blend or e85 blend. Theyre expensive...about $500 and higher depending on the brand.

i found some on $200 to $800.. to get the emissions test i have to fix that, but what could happen if i drive it like that? major problems or anything?

The computer wont know what kind of fuel youre using so it wont know the correct tables to use for the air fuel mixture. So you will probably have poor fuel economy and bad driveability. It could cause power loss and hard starting too i would guess.
