If and when they win the super bowl, you can run your mouth all you want to in regards to them being the best team in the NFL. That is usually what the Super Bowl signifies. A few wins in Sept and Oct really doesn't mean a whole lot in the grand scheme of things. Green Bay is the defending champions, and they are 4-0 right now. Until someone beats them, or Aaron Rodgers has a season ending injury they are the team to beat. I would just enjoy the fact that Detroit is winning and probably playoff bound for the first time since they had Barry Sanders. They are playing great right now, but they have not done anything to warrant them being crowned the best team in the NFL, yet. That title gets bestowed on someone in February, and not prior to that.
Even if they beat the Packers in the regular season, or even went 16-0, I am not "owning up" as you put it. The best team is decided in January and February, plain and simple.Last edited by Y2KPewterSS; 10-02-2011 at 09:25 PM.

With really good skill players and a stout defensive line to stop the run and pressure the QB, anything is possible. Its difficult to transition from worst team in the league to best team in the league in a 2 year time period though. Stafford has to stay healthy for the entire year, which is something that has not happened yet. They also could not afford to lose Megatron either. Green Bay won the SB last year as the #6 seed. Winning the championship has a lot to do with timing and who is playing their best at the end of the year.
Yes they are.

That's the key right there......the team has to peak at the right time which is what most of the SB winners do. Look at the Pats a few years ago that almost ran the table. Then they go to the SB and lose to what I would call a lesser team in the Giants. In 09 the Saints lost their last 3 regular season games to teams like tampa and then killed it once they hit the playoffs. Last year they lose to frigin Seattle in the wild card round which was a terrible team.

good luck with this......you're team (like mine) has a great long history of losing. They're never gonna get respect even if they win it all. If I were you I would build a Stafford voodoo doll and pack it away some place very very safe and surround it with cotton balls.
He has to stay healthy for them to continue on. I hope they beat er' bodies ass until they meet up with my team early december.

Suh is even more dominant than I initially thought. Double and tripled teamed almost every play...and he still makes tackles.

The Lions were a decent team last year (2010) with all those close losses that could have been close wins. This year they are winning. We'll have to see how they play the Niners this week.
