Bill who cares if he'd rather run Mobil 1 over PP that a former mod made out be God's jizz of oil?
My GTP seemed to use oil when I ran it PP but not anything else. So oh noes I ran Mobil 1 or Valvoline synthetic instead of PP. Hell I know people freaking out over blown head gaskets when running PP when it was just how it looks because of the parafin content...

If you must know Jon, it's not about the oil, I don't care what oil he runs. It's about crap a dealership tells him and preaching it as gospel. We don't need people spreading misinformation about what kind of oil they can or can't run (in an oil thread). He states he doesn't care about any of this while throwing out emoticons after he made a point out of bringing out of bringing it up in the 1st place. I was seriously interested in his claims, asking for verification. Meanwhile I found proof to the contrary. Then he didn't want to play anymore. I'd still like to know what it says in his owners manual.

I don't have internet at work.
I was pretty clear I was told by a few dealers that changes with PP wouldn't be within spec. Sure that could be wrong...not that it matters.
Read it on TBSSowners somewhere as well, but that is obviously hearsay.
I am much too lazy to search for something that really doesn't matter.

My Jeep takes 8 quarts of oil.......most of the time I run 5 qts of the clean 5,000 and then 3 quarts of the synthetic. At 5k miles it gets changed. Almost all of the miles are back and forth to school so its 70ish miles each day round trip and nothing else.
I have used Mobil 1 and the PP as well as some other stuff in my LS1s and LT1s and havent had any burn more than the others. I do think that it runs smoothest with the PP and its a close 2nd with the M1, the other stuff I "think" I can tell but its probably just in my head.
Anyone run the ole Golden Spectro in anything? haha

Whoever IS in charge of inventory should strongly consider regularly stocking the Amsoil OE product line. Imagine fully synthetic Amsoil on the shelf in the $6.00 dollar range next to Pennzoil Platinum and Mobil 1. It would be a popular seller for sure.
Those who have doubted stocking Amsoil in the quick lube business are quickly discovering Amsoil OE is a winner and stocking it makes sound business sense.

That is very true. My dealer group is seeing quite a boost in business and accounts w/ the new OE line including the OE Diesel!
You may also find that if your store is known to carry the product you will have more than a few people stopping by for it.
I could certainly help w/ the account setup....
