finally, it will be mine!
In 1994, my dad bought this 1968 impala fastback. It was supposed to be mine when we finished fixin her up. Half way through the build in 1997, someone came along and traded my dad out of it. I was not happy. Fastforward to today. I call up a friend i havnt spoken with in about 2 years. We talk a bit about nothin, then he mentions he has a 68 impala fastback. My ears perked. He bought it just after the last time we spoke. Well, his plans have fallen thru with the car, and i asked what he would have to have for it. He said $500. I said "cool, send me some pics of it"....i knew instantly when i saw the pics that it was our old car! Its in substantially worse shape than it was when we got rid of it. But i dont care. Its even still registered to my dad! So, i will be picking it up next weekend, and it will sit until i get the t/a back on the road. (that was the ol lady's stipulation for me getting it).....

I hope you're able to get it restored and in tip top condition. It'll be one of those cars you'll never let go of again. I think it's awesome
My dad had a few when I was growing up. I'd love to stumble upon one of them. I used to sit in the back seat with my ear plastered to the speaker

yea what really surprises me is that the ol lady is totally supportive of me getting this car back....and shes usually very critical when it comes to me spending money on things that arent a necessity..
