Rust in Rear Fender Lips.. Anyone Seeing it?
...anyone else seeing rust develop near the top of the top of the fender, where the quarter panel and fender panel meet and are bent inward (i.e. "lip", don't know if that's the right terminology..)? i'd guess those who are in wet/snow climates would be seeing this?
i think it's a problem w/ sealing the seam of these two pieces of metal? anyway, curious if anyone's already attacked this problem, and what way to go about it...
can i just spray some rust bullet back behind that lip, ...but how do i seal the "seam"?..

It wouldn't surprise me if rust was starting to form on a car going on 13 years old, especially one that sees winter weather.
I am a little confused. You say where the quarter panel and fender panel meet. I don't see how that's possible as one is at the front of the car and the other is at the back of the car. Are you saying in the wheel well where the lip is there?

yes, and there is actually a seam there because two pieces of metal are joined together at that lip. i believe one piece is the fender (inboard piece which runs over the wheel), and the quarter panel (which is of course the outboard panel).. i think that moisture/water gets up in the seam and rusts in there...
i'm looking for a way to stop it.

I'm gonna check em out.
I got new rotors, but I'll be changing the springs/shocks soon and the nuts have so much rust on them
Last time I change the front sway bar they broke off it's self when I was getting it lose.
I'm gonna have to spend some hours working on that.
