ive talked to my buddy over at extreme preformance here and he's got a few dyno sheets of some of his customers and his own cars that are auto's. Some of them are low and some are high but all are very close to what his standard cars are putting down (around 325 hp at the wheels) I appologize for saying bullshit if that makes you feel better but its simply not what ive seen. i even said that your right about an auto loseing hp through the drivetrain thats very true, the majority of the auto's ive seen do dyno lower than the t56's but not much lower. but a handfull are right there with them and every now and then one gets higher. now im not very swuavey with computers and have been working long hours lately so as soon as i find some time to get my hp-photosmart software hooked up again i will post some sheets. P.S. the girls i know like to win races while giving head

Its all good man. Its just kinda aggrivating when someone straight up calls "bullshit", yet has nothing, but personal preference, to back it up. Ya know? Anyway, to each his own. Ive had autos and Ive had 6's, and I know what has worked for me.

just don't forget, theres more to racing than going in a straight line...what's gonna happen when your on a track coming out of the apex with a high stall?
lol, again, its just preference comparing racing to everyday driving!

On my most recent track day I was hanging out with another guy who had a TA 6 speed and I have an A4 TA. So I went out and immediatly put down a 12.4 and continued to run consistant 12.5's. He went out with his 6 speed (same amount of power) and put down a 14.0 his first run and ran anywhere from the high 13's to the mid 12's after that. He has been racing for a long time but sometimes a 6 speed just wont cooperate how you want it to.. Thats that honest truth and I know EVERY one of you 6 speed drivers have missed shifts from time to time. Or had the car jump outta gear from a heated clutch. Try bracket racing like that, or hell any drag racing and you are going to go down. T/A's and Camaros are MUSCLE cars and Corvettes are SPORTS cars.. Whats the difference? Well T/As and Camaros have a drag strip pounding legacy to live up to which means they are built to go in a straight line really fast. A Corvette is built for a road course.. Therefore you do not need the 6 speed unless it is just a personal preference for some reason.
