I was just under the truck hosing everything down with brake cleaner. Hopefully it was just the completely frogs-ass tight vent that was pushing fluid out, and not actually a bad seal. Still fearing for the worst.

Oh, and wtf to Chrysler for going with synthetic gear oil from the factory. Now I gotta go buy another fuggin' quart of fluid that I'll never use in anything else.

Many of the GM rears are supposed to be synthetic. I don't thenk I ever put synthetic gear lube in a single diff I serviced when I was at Chrysler

So I go buy about $120 worth of hoses, coolant, and such to service the cooling system on our Durango. They only have the bypass hose on the shelf, everything else has to be ordered, so not going to be able to start that project today. Coming home, the CEL comes on... no appreciation at all.
