Exhaust bung (sp?)
I bought an air/fuel ratio gauge and have a couple install questions. This a photo of the exhaust bung. It appears that it is just welded on. Shouldn't it be drilled out? If so, I guess the shavings won't damage the catalytic converter? Also, should i use some type anti-sieze on the threads? It seems to have something on it now. thanks

Did you try and wrench it off? It looks like a plug. And not factory. And yes, use anti seize.

Agree. That looks like it may be a plug. The angle is wrong to really tell from the pic though. Is it located before or after the converter? An A/F gauge sending unit needs to be installed upstream of the converter to work properly.

You're right. It was a plug. Makes me feel pretty stupid. It is located ahead of the cats. Got it installed yesterday and its working correctly. Thanks for the help.
