Obviously it is your car and you can do as you want. All we have said is that there is absolutely no need to replace all the coils. In all honesty, a brand new LS2 coil is just as likely to fail as an older LS1 coil. There are no moving parts in a coil -- it is simply windings of wire immersed in some sort of protective media. I just had a brand new MSD coil on an Oldsmobile engine fail while at the builders. It happens.

I agree, its your car. is it preventive maintenance? well kinda of as jeff mentioned is an item that can fail at any time. We just want to help you out to address your issue and save you money if we can make suggestions based in our experience. If you have the spare money and want to go for it then by all means do it. is not my money lol.
Do they work fine?

i was just showing pictures off LS1tech of them on the ls1. I was told if i replaced them with the ls2 coil they provide a hotter spark. When they get here they will be going on same day ill post pictures.

Yep it took about 30 minutes, my car idled pretty good, i let it idle for about 30 minutes and everything checked out really good. Seems to run alot stronger, i still need to change the wires out and the spark plugs, wires should be here the 15th, and then the dreaded plug change shall begin, last time i tried to change them i ripped most of the wires because they were so old, i just decided to wait til i got new wires, what spark plugs do you guys recommend? i want something with decent life, but not too expensive.
