Fuel Gauge stuck on full
The fuel gauge on my 2002 Trans AM is stuck on full. Does anyone know of a quick fix for this?

you'll most likely have to drop your tank to fix the problem...

I hit the tank a few times with a plastic brush and now it's working correctly.

Nevermind it'd still stuck on full. Has anyone here tried cutting a "trap door" to access the fuel pump and sending unit to avoid dropping the tank?

cutting a trap door is super easy and takes no time at all. look on youtube. Also you have about more than a inch of error room as far as the cutting. once you get it out clean the level relay plate. Mine was doing the same but on empty and there was such a build the q tips were black from the contaminates in the fuel. First cut the door, relieve the pressure, then pull the pump out. while it's out and after it's cleaned reconnect the relay lines to make sure it's working properly. move the level up and down and watch the fuel gauge to see if it's sending the signal. P.s. mine had two of the three sensor plates broken and the third was not getting enough pressure because of the play that these sending units have. I lightly bent the third and presto mine works perfectly. There is a video on youtube for the sending unit also. Just take your time while cutting the trap door. Mine took about 15 mins and it's a lot quicker than dropping the tank. Which I have done b4. Ex filled the tank with sugar.
