Good advice for exhaust...
If your planning on goin for headers and ORY (off road y pipe) go for something like a Magnaflow, its the middle grade, sounds GREAT at W.O.T. and won't kill your wallet.
(i might be selling mine within the week, only has ~1,200 miles on it)
If your planning on leaving stock manifolds and Y pipe go for something like the SLP LM, cheap and will make you loud.
If you wanna spend some bucks but get top of the line all around go for Borla, Corsa or the infamous GMMG.
I'm far from an expert, lotta guys here know TONS about internal engine stuff, but that's what i've gathered from experience with exhausts.

do the "off-road"y-pipes loose the cats?
-
05-03-2006, 01:23 PM #14
That's right. "Off road Y" means no cats. You'll have to buy some o2 sims to stop the computer from throwing a code or just have the code deleted from the computer.

Black- 2002 WS6 Trans Am M6
Everyone seems to like the lids. I have learned a lot about my car since I got it. But strangely enough, I haven't looked into the benefits of a lid. I just has stock on my car.
Also, what is "TB Bypass"

I put on a set of gutted cats with the o2 sims and a FLOWMASTER muffler and all I have done are the other common bolt-ons.With a set of mickeys my
WS6 turned a 12.92.I don't see anything wrong with the flowmaster.Alot of
people talk out their.... well you get my point.Anyway do what you think is good and ask alot of questions.By the way welcome to the world of LS1!
