It is amazing how people react when their a/c is out, compared to when their heating is out. They can't live without a/c, and get angry when they have to wait. But heating, they are often satisfied if it can be fixed within a day. I don't get it.....but it keeps my business going, along with the new installs.
That is why those folks need to keep a fan in case their A/C is on the way out or out completely. Folks just want to whine.

People don't know how to open windows and turn on fans anymore. And most can remember a time when a/c wasn't around....at least not in homes unless you were rich.

No electric........supposed to be out for up to 6-8 days. Woo freaking hoo.

Neighbor lost his roof and 3rd floor and every window blew out of his house and not a single one was shattered. Strange happenin's here in upstate BFE, PA.

Indeed. Some folks aren't resourceful as others. Society is becoming lazy. I will never understand.

There was no real reason why it turned that way on top of the hill. If it would have turned I would be living in pajeff02s new car trailer....lol

But then I could get an apartment at college and sew my oats so to speak.

2 in our office -- the problem is that one system runs the entire building and the majority rules as it can't heat and cool at the same time.

I always think of mud bogging when I hear that song. Or a monster truck rally.

That is a poor design. A system lockout t-stat could be installed, and would lockout the heating when it got hot out, and cooling when it got cold out.

Or just disconnect their t-stats.....you got my #, I'll walk you through it.

Try installing systems in call centers with 50 to 100 people in them. Half are baking, and the other half are freezing. I don't know how many times I've seen one employee with a space heater going, and another fanning themselves.

I never saw anything like that when I was in the field. Just folks thanking us when we installed a replacement cooling unit.

Don't get me wrong. I would say the majority of my customers do appreciate our work. It's just the extremes that you have to deal with that really make you wonder.

It wasn't too bad today -- my office went up to 76 at one point and then cooled back down to 72.
