Just out of curiosity, did you have someone do it? How much was it? It make sense. Be a lot easier at the parking lot. Wouldn't work in the garage. Prob just make it more of a target for vandals.

Whoever installed the mechanisms did it right. Looks like both doors are level at full tilt.

Black/ Silver- 98 TA WS6/ 01 C5 Corvette
I actually thought of doing that to my WS6 but the kits I have found for it were over $1k so I couldn't warrant spending that kind of money on that when I could do something else that would increase the performance of the car. I am interested though in how long it took and stuff. It does look good though

yeah we had someone do it, we took it to a local shop around here. they do all the work on my car and they have done an awesome job. i love my doors! and actually it works fine in our garage, they don't go up too high to where they hit the ceiling, even with the windows rolled up. and vandals i don't have to worry about because i have a bumped up security system on my car.
it only took a day to get it done! and we had a local shop do it.
yeah the kit that i have on my car was $2600 its pretty expensive but i love them. i wanna get all the cosmetic stuff done on my car and then work on performance. but like i said above it only took a day in the shop and they did an amazing job. i haven't had any problem with it and i love them when i go to a mall or somewhere with tight parking because i can get in and out so much easier.
def ill get that on here asap!

Navy Blue Metallic- '00 Formy A4
That's one advantage. I have to be careful where I park for that reason, especially if I have a passenger. And you don't have to worry about opening the doors near high curbs. A few months ago I had a girl get out of my car and throw the pass side door open all the way, and she ground the bottom of it up against the curb. God did I cringe when it made that grrrrrrrinnnnd noise against the concrete!
But wow, 2600 for an appearance mod!! That would have been alot of performce parts!! You must have on big budget for this car...I'm jealous!

oh my lord i understand about the passengers and high curbs. out of all my girl friends i am the only girl thats car crazy and they almost always shoved my doors open next to curbs and in the mall sometimes theyd bang my doors against other cars and then they would get mad when i like freaked out a little. they didn't understand but luckily me freaking out a couple times caused them to think carefully before they open my doors lol. and even now they don't quite get how to work them to make them go up (although its super easy) but along with opening up they open regular too they just don't open as far out as they used too, which is also an advantage when my friends open them up regular they don't go far enough to bash another car next to me in a parking lot lol.
but yeah 2600 is a lot but i have daddy's money. i'm not bragging or anything but thats just the budget i have for my car. it was actually my surprise Christmas present, it just took a while to get them actually on my car haha.
