I remember watching some talk show a decade or two ago and some guy on there was all deppressed because his girl left him. They brought the Macho Man out as a surprise guest to give him some advice. All he said to the guy was "You gotta take that skirt off and put on a pair of pants". I was lmao. RIP brother.

Many of these wrestlers I watched as a kid and thought they retired but nope, they died.

The link is a short list of wrestlers that are dead. It's sad that most of them die from heart attack, stroke, aneurysm, or overdose at young ages. Hgh, coke, roids and the general constant abuse on their bodies is a real mother fucker...

Definitely one of the best "interviews" ever of a professional wrestler. He fuckin killed it that night. So freakin funny, and in character.

It amazes me that people are so hung up on wrestling being "fake" and predetermined that they actually think these matches are like a walk in the park. The life of a professional wrestler is BRUTAL in so many different ways. Their bodies take an absolute BEATING! You are on the road all year, often alone. THey resort to drugs etc The fans and WWE want them big so they do roids, its just a vicious cycle. Professional wrestler is probably as rough on your body as NFL football is.

It seems like they all die for the reasons IBANEZ stated too. Always between 40-60 yrs old. Ie still relatively young

It's called living fast and they loved every minute of it.

When I was a kid there were no WWF action figures. I made a little ring out of a cigar box and string. Used Star Wars action figures and glued cotton on there heads to make big afros for Snuka, Wild Samoans, etc. We improvised.

    your exactly right...

I would say wrestlers take more abuse than NFL players, because NFL players have half the year off. Wrestlers are every weekend for all 52 weeks.

its a tough industry. Yeah the matches might be pre-determined but the abuse is insane...

Exactly, I tell people all the time, wrestling might be pre-determined, but the bumps, bruises injuries are real. Those guys bodies take a beating.
