Whats the worst thing you've ever done in/to a rental car?
Other than the typical neutral drops, I haven't done too much. It's nice to know that a 4 banger Sebring will light the tires up at 30!
Stories?

Topped out a Cobalt and got caught
put the rear tires up on a curb and then did a huge burnout in that Cobalt too(had pics of that but then my computer took a shit and they were deleted
) also did lots of e-brake slides in a Aveo.
Those were given to me by the insurance when our trucks were stolen within 6 months of eachother.

I called it "Urban offroading". I got a Jeep Commander and basically went over every curb/field I could find. It was fun.

I was operations manager for Thrifty car Rental in Kentucky many many years ago. You wouldn't believe the shit I've see. Not to mention the guns, money, panties, drugs and other crap we find in cars people return.

I've never meant to abuse a rental car.
Guy in college got one. Parked it between the parking brick and curb and smoke the tires until the tread peeled off.
Took that one back and I believe they were pretty pissed. Gave him an echo. Ho took the hood off and tied a kite to the back bumper then drove around the campus until security threatened to call the cops unless he put the car back together.

hate to be a buzzkill, ...but this is the kind of thing that reflects poorly on our society...
i don't abuse my own property, and i don't abuse other peoples property - i would expect the reciprocal from others.... i don't see what's so funny about abusing a rental car?it is disrespectful, immature, and destructive.
if i have to rent a car, be it for a trip or because mine's in the shop, i would like to have something that will run find and be reliable, ..not suffering from intentional abuse by others who drove it before me. i also would not like to pay more to rent a car, just because the higher maintenance costs and insurance claims by the rental company must eventually be passed on to cover the wreckless behavior of other numbnuts who get off abusing them..

C'mon Buzz Killington, it's all in fun. I started the thread because I work for a car dealership and one of our loaner cars went through hell.

What's a car running find sound like? I only know how a car running fine sounds.
Last dealership I worked at they found about 5 pounds of weed in the trunk. Idiot cameback looking for it being shady. He got an escort to the local police station

I've never purposely damaged a rental car. I just don't baby them like I do my own vehicles.
I did bottom out a Monte Carlo in an intersection that had deep ruts at all four cross-sections for drainage. Would of had to slow to at least 20 mph to make it through comfortably. I was doing at least 45.
OH! and while on a business trip to... Novi, Michigan in JANUARY I had a good time in the Walmart parking lot.
