I have comprehensive coverage on the car. It was only a few dollars more a month, so my deductible is 250. If you don't have the extra coverage on your policy, you might want to check into it. This also covers weather related things, like hail for example.

Yeah I do. This car has never been wrecked and yes I want oem parts even if the parts are used. I would be better off taking duct tape to the fender before having a after-market pos fender.

I had my windshield replaced with an OEM one at an auto-glass place. It cost me $230.

You are VERY lucky that deer did not come out in front of you and hit the side of your car. I've been in a truck once going only 10-15MPH and we hit one dead on. It was like running into a brick wall, and it was a lot smaller than 110lb. I would guess it weighed closer to 60lb.

That much for a windshield!! Ok, time to go google a windshield to how much that costs. Only the fender got hit. All the damages are in the picture.
The guy at the body shop is thinking 3500.00-4000.00.

Idk where he gets his windshields but I replaced mine for $150 with install!

I had a very close encounter yesterday morning with a good size doe....at 80 mph. I still don't know how I missed her, but that would have sucked. Thankfully I was driving the work truck anyway with brush guard, but still...at 80, I'd be hurting.

Everyone is ok and the car is in the shop all ready. It should take about 2 weeks for the car to come home.

I am wondering how this whole process with the insurance company and body shop will work out. Here is NC/SC we have had some rough weather with hail storms and tornados. Anyway, it has kept the insurance companys real busy. My insurance is going to cover whatever the estimate is, just as long it's not over 75% of the value of the car. It will be Monday before I know, so the waiting game still plays out.

If that costs anywhere close to $3500 - $4000 I'll take a week ban from this site because you would be getting bent over a table and 12 big cocks shoved up the ass without lube. I am in agreement with poster above go somwhwere else they are milking it. Once againfind out who did the estimate. What's the labor rate for body man/painter/mechanic and what all the parts costs are post it back up here and we can see if its fair
