According to what I found on the net the windshield costs less than my deductible. I did not find anything that was close to 1000.00 bucks.

No matter what you would have to pay your deductible anywhere from 250-500 dollars depending on who you are with and what guidelines they follow for hitting animals.

I had my windshield replaced with an OEM one at an auto-glass place. It cost me $230.
You are VERY lucky that deer did not come out in front of you and hit the side of your car. I've been in a truck once going only 10-15MPH and we hit one dead on. It was like running into a brick wall, and it was a lot smaller than 110lb. I would guess it weighed closer to 60lb.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
I had the front windshield replaced in the 98 for $0.00.
Living a state where internal car temps approach 140* or higher during the summer days means that full glass coverage is the norm...

Glad you and kid are ok. I priced a windshield at 185 down here
I had a very close encounter yesterday morning with a good size doe....at 80 mph. I still don't know how I missed her, but that would have sucked. Thankfully I was driving the work truck anyway with brush guard, but still...at 80, I'd be hurting.

I am wondering how this whole process with the insurance company and body shop will work out. Here is NC/SC we have had some rough weather with hail storms and tornados. Anyway, it has kept the insurance companys real busy. My insurance is going to cover whatever the estimate is, just as long it's not over 75% of the value of the car. It will be Monday before I know, so the waiting game still plays out.

If that costs anywhere close to $3500 - $4000 I'll take a week ban from this site because you would be getting bent over a table and 12 big cocks shoved up the ass without lube. Unless there is damage that can't be seen, that should only cost about $1500 - $2000 MAX!! Ask me how I know, been through this once or twice
