Compared to what the 3800?
Yeah the 3800 has 5 more ft lbs than the LQ1..And a full tenth of second faster n/a in the 1/4..
....and needed a blower to top LQ1 N/A hp numbers..lmfao!
Hmmm
I don't remember mentioning the 3.5 DOHC.. The 3800 was such an engineering marvel that it got replaced with a 300+hp DOHC n/a 660..

Three posts to get that all out huh? Don't hurt yourself..
Please post a link to my statement of such...
Yeah that's right you won't find it.. :0 bozo
But Google or Bing TDCTT and see what you get..

Maybe I should run an eton 90 on it cause it's such a reliable unit that it got redesigned for almost every model year..
350~425 crank is the "norm" for a spooled stock internal LQ1..
If your LQ1 ran bad it was due to the owner not the engines design.. MAF head..

You're forgetting the L26 n/a engine... You see the 3.5 was the DOHC waste of metal availabe during the LSQ years. Since the LQ1 was phased out for emissions etc...
You don't seem to realize I'm mocking how you post conctantly about the 3:4 if somebody dares to mention anyother engine.
Funnything about the LQ1 it got worse fuel economy than my heavier and blown 3800 powered turd.
ZZP does those power numbers all day long on stock 3800s
acually they hit that range at the wheels

They should it's a larger cubed engine..

Secondly can't compare the 2 modded because no one has yet discovered the hp limit on stock internals yet..
300-400+ are known numbers for LQ1..
I was also mostly talking about the 3.6 DI DOHC engines in 4th gen F-body as well..
Notice the videos are of the 3.6L which is mainly what the thread is about..

3.6 wasn't in production during the 4th gen productions thus my mentioning of the 3.5 dohc. Way to dodge my comment.
How caqn you not compare 2 engines? So what if the engine's limit has been discovered? Could it be nobody ever cared since for years they were notorious for blowing intake gaskets head gaskets and spinning and or chucking rods?
Btw just imagine the power and efficiency the Buick engine would have had they gone di with it?
As for your needing some dumb ass magazine economy comments just read the epa stickers. L67 was rated 18 and 28 and its a known and documented fact they do far better when you behave yourself. Shit I saw 30 or better regularly modified. You just need to read places other than Ben's site and here
Best I ever got in my 94 was 27... 3.43 gears vs a 2.93 its common sense reallyLast edited by GTP231; 04-18-2011 at 06:43 PM.

Something with torque would've spanked that GT

Stock or close to stock 2V GT's are slow man, when you're losing to one of those you're in a pretty bad way. Especially when you're in a brand new car, V6 or not.

By the way Smittro I've driven a new Camaro with a 6. It had long tubes high flow cats and a Borla cat back. It sounded like a fart in a tube and felt slower than an Iron Duke
