any one here done a heads up display???
i seen a few years ago (4-5) a heads up display kit... it was a piece of static cling clear pllastic stuff and a HUD from a vette... but was like 3k fr the damned kit... andy one know of after market ones that are decent and fiarly priced???

I myself don't know of any. I did read on this site actually that someone was trying to design one for F-Body cars. But I haven't heard of any actual kits being put out there on the market as of yet. ..this was back about 2 years ago.

there's a couple of universal kits on ebay. not sure what the specifications are, or how they hook up.
this one looked cool, but is expensive

i'd rather get the one that uses the clear static film and the C5 HUD... i cna't find them any more...

i actually just saw a hud kit for 96 and newer cars by 6le. its not a direct fit but it's small enough it wouldnt be hard to integrate into a dash and make it look factory...it's pretty well priced to... $180

Iirc, some early bonnovilles came with HUD that was projected onto the windshield from the dash..
I don't think there was a field patch on the glass..
I wonder if all the componets could be ordered from GM or some after market...
I think I'm wanting this for the Camaro project...
I think it would be cool to have the entire cluster in a HUD field just above the cowl on the glass..Last edited by Smittro; 03-14-2011 at 12:34 AM.
