I get 23 mpg at BEST and I do mostly highway driving. Even baby it all the time.......and all I have are SLP induction, SLP long tubes and exhaust. So I dont see how anyone can get near 30 mpg.

I got 24 with a H/C/I/E and aftermarket fuel system (bigger injectors and FP) setup on the hwy. Is your car tuned? Also, how do you drive. People don't understand their driving style is the biggest cause/effect to mpgs. Even late breaking is an mpg killer.

Even when I was cam only 28mpg was an obtainable number.
    '02 ws6.....mods? nope

Yes it is tuned by HPTuners. I drive it like a grandpa. It does only have 45,000 miles on it so it just might not be broken in yet.

I stopped at the local Maverick just this past monday,,,,91 octane was $3.51.
I stopped at the same Maverick today,,,,91 octane is now $3.59.

It just keeps creeping up. I see $4 a gallon by summer no sweat.

Agreed, but $4 is coming. On a brighter side, Europe is paying between $7-8 per gallon right now, so we are still paying half of what they do

$4,$5 heck $6 and more is coming. Oil is not a renewable resource. IMO we have already waited to long to find the next resource whatever that is.
