I haven't seen a Shar Pei in a long time. I used to live by a guy that had two of them. Sorry to hear you lost him.

Went to a dog show a few months back. I couldn't get over the musk odor of the Shar Pei's. Don't think I could ever get used to that.

Hounds are pretty bad too, if not bathed regularly. We had a Basset hound when I was a kid, great dog but I wouldn't want another.

That's one of the things I like about my American Eskimo. He has a great self cleaning coat. Unless he gets into mud or something like that, I never have to wash him. Washing can actually be bad for his coat. He's gone years without a bath and has no smell about him at all. He's a great lazy man's dog. That, however, is balanced out by the shedding...!

We "dog sat" a basset for a friend of our's a couple of years ago for a month. I swear I've NEVER seen a dog shed that much! I couldn't believe it. The one we had when I was a kid didn't shed like that but he was a male and the one we kept was a female.

I love Boxers! He is very cute. I think of all the breeds I've raised over the years, boxer puppies were my favorite. Nothing like the sound of 6-8 of them thumping around clumsily on hardwood floors

He's actually my sisters dog, she just sends me pictures of him off and on. He had to go to the vet for a bacterial ear infection.

This is my Rott. The kid named him "Bubba", got him two weeks ago, he's a terror!! And this potty training crap is for the birds. But he's wonderful, I love him. Think he's gained ten pounds in two weeks because he defintely is too heavy to hold in the air like that now.
