Black SS SLP#8834- 2002 35th Anniversary LS1
On the chrome ten spokes, there is a Vette insignia on the center.
Shouldnt it be an "SS" instead for the true SLP touch ?

Light Pewter Metallic- 2001 Camaro SS
did u ever find out if it comes with new clips? i'm thinking about buying mine tonight.
it should be. i dunno why they are like this but they are things that the previous owner could have easily swapped. i really wanna know if this car has the Y2Y code on the door.

I didn't find out if it came with the new clips, I ordered mine this morning though. Figured I'll see when it gets here. If not I'll have to go on a "clip" hunt.
And yes if they are the optional chrome SLP wheels whether it be the 10 spoke or the ZR1 5 spokes, they would have the chrome SS center caps.
If you got the standard silver painted wheels,,,then the center cap was blank with nothing on it.
I have one of each SS equipped this way.

From the picture of the drivers side sticker that the salesman sent me it does have the wu8 code and the y2y code. But the 2nd content slp sticker on passenger door is not there and the salesman said door was never replaced. But wouldnt say much else. The car does have the 345 hp package. Could have been added later. Who knows?????

The 35th LE's were red with gray checkered flag emblems running down the hood and over the rear hatch. The also had the black emblem in front of the ram-air duct. I have pics in my profile of mine.
All 2002 Camaro's are 35th Anniversary Editions. 3369 were 35th LE's, like mine.
Didn't read all the replies, but the car is definitely not "mint". The right rear quarter panel does not line up right with the bumper in the last picture.
Makes me believe it's been wrecked.
Pictures have also been played around with in Photoshop or some other form of photo editor.
Car looks almost as clean as mine. My seats have less cracks

Standard SS wheels got red bowties on their center caps. The majority of the painted wheels you see now are blank because the red painted bowties were very fragile and would eventually fade with moderate washings.
As for the y2y code and missing door stickers, a number of things could've happened. While the car might have been ordered with slp content, a mix-up couldve happened in production where the car ended up not receiving the extra content, thus no sticker. That is what actually happened with my car. The slp content was on my invoice, but the car was delivered without them. Luckily I ordered just mats, keyrings and a dashplate, which were re-ordered thru my dealer when I asked for the whereabouts of my missing content on delivery day. There were some instances where a lot of content was ordered on people's cars, and for some reason the vehicles were delivered without them. It was a bit of a crazy time back then as some of the dealers didn't quite understand how to complete the extra content orders properly.
On the otherhand, a lot of cars were plastered with floating parts years after people bought, traded and sold their camaros. Quite a few z28's were also transformed (some very poorly) into ss cars. You have to check the paperwork, receipts, etc very thoroughly or you could end up not getting what you paid for.

At what point do you get a 2nd content sticker? In other words do you even get a 2nd content sticker if you just order mats keyrings and a dash plaque???? Or did all 02 ss came with the 2nd contents sticker regardless of slp options ordered????

You would get the second sticker (supposedly) when the order is filled out with the y2y code, and the content. My dealer put the content on the order but did not (I believe) specify y2y. The car was at slp and did get its index number, but it was delivered without the extras. My situation was easily fixed (except the sticker) because the dealer ordered the extra content separately. I did phone slp about it, and they told me that I could order the sticker but it wouldn't say anything on it. It was pointless for me to get a blank sticker in my situation, so I opted just to leave the car as it was.
Other owners weren't that lucky, particulary if some of them ordered suspension packages or exhaust packages and the cars arrived without it. Not too sure what happened in those cases; Maybe some dealers attempted to install those options themselves. I would've surely had the car go back if it were me lol.Last edited by lbls1; 02-16-2011 at 02:14 PM.

Heres a strange update to this camaro ss. The bidding for this car ended today but its back on e bay now with black stripes added to it and a whole new seller to contact. Looks like it went from one dealer to another. Car isnt as clean as i first thought. Looks kinda bent up in certain pics

Sometimes those dealers will trade or auction among themselves.
I noticed the right rear bumper not fitting perfect, but that doesn't necesssarily concern me since they are plastic, I've seen a few of them that didn't fit exactly right.
You would almost have to see the car in person and look at other key body features inside jambs and joints to really determine if it's been hit or boogered with. It probably would easily explain why the driver side door is missing the SLP sticker.

Not sure why but some cars that went through SLP don't have the 2nd sticker. My SLP build date was 6/11/1999 (#4063) but I didn't get the sticker and I have heard of similar stories. I guess it must not have been a big deal to add the sticker or I'm sure there wouldn't be cars with them missing.

I'd never pay those ridiculous ebay prices for ours. Don't get me wrong.......I love 'em, but anything over the book value and you have to start asking yourself whether its better to put that money down on a new one.
A car that (although its clean) has a lot of aftermarket goodies on it will also make you wonder what else is under there that's not so good (accidents, body damage, welding, etc.).
