2016 Camaro SS - Summit- 2001 Trans Am WS6 - NBM
We got somewhere between 13-14 inches even here in OK. Broke some records here. Craziness, that was one big snow storm...
I posted this pic in Arctic Camaro thread, but thought I'd share it here as well. Sorry for the window screen in the way, I was half-dressed, lazy, etc.Last edited by Y2KArcticSS; 02-03-2011 at 07:51 AM.

snow sissies....we've been in an artic lock for a couple months now. I've been up here since 89 and don't ever remember such a cold shitty winter as we've had this year. We've gotten a lot of snow the last couple years it seems but this year the temps are just murderous out there....it's 17 right now and the low tomorrow is supposed to be 7. No big deal except it's been like that pretty much since the end of November.

I'm definitely a sissy to this shit. It was -6 this morning without the wind chill. Supposed to get up to twenty today, then dip back down to -2 tonight. Another front moving in Sunday...
Was taking my son into the house last night, caught a slick spot and fell, heard a loud crack, shot of pain, involuntary yell. Do believe I did something pretty bad to my ankle. Can't put any weight on it whatsoever, swelling up pretty good. Looks like I'll be heading for the doc to make sure I didn't break anything....my son's ok though, not a scratch, just scared him
I hate this weather.

Arctic White, red/gray- 1997 Corvette, 92 Typhoon
They closed my work for the first time in the 5 years I have worked here. They have made us come in on days where we got 20+inches in 48hours but they let us stay home thanks to the 40mph winds and 12ft snow drifts.
I wouldnt have been able to make it to work anyway since a city snow plow 6 wheel drive dump truck got stuck sideways at the only entrance to my street. He didnt get unstuck until 2pm. We got 22 inches by the lake where we live.

2016 Camaro SS - Summit- 2001 Trans Am WS6 - NBM
Just got out of the ER, no breaks, strained my lateral tendon and Achilles. Air splint with crutches for a little while with some lortabs and 800mg ibuprofen to keep me happy. Gotta go back for an MRI if it doesn't get at least somewhat better in the next few days, to check for tearing.

Unfortunately i'm a pro at sprained ankles
... I wouldn't bother with an MRI because a sprain is a tear so it's torn. You should've had an xray to check for bone fragments though. Don't freak out if it turns black it's just pooled blood from the torn ligaments. Ditch the crutches as soon as you can...putting weight and walking on it helps the healing. As the swelling goes down work on stretching it really good everyday so the ligaments heal at the correct length; otherwise you could have permanent range of motion issues.
