I've been in similar situations, and there comes a point when you just have to say hey...this isn't working....take a step back for a second and look at the broad picture...is this situation really worth it?

i mean, viper and escalade at 24, you've either made some good choices before, or are a rich kid prick....you seem like the former.

just recently there was a girl that i was trying to make things work with, she just had emotional issues, parents werent even involved, but it finally got to a point that i finally just had to walk away, because it was starting to affect my quality of life overall.

the goal of being with someone, is to increase your overall quality of life, but if it creates more stress in one department, than pleasure it creates in another, then overall your less happy....and thats just not worth it.

As you already probably know, it isn't the bars or the type of booze/drug that matters. It is the inability to control your actions that ultimately determines an alcoholic.

I put it all down in 1985. I was a party animal until that point. I had a cousin OD a decade ago. I have another cousin with three years of sobriety and she nearly lost her life due to liver disease and a stroke. Another cousin die in a fire started by her passing out with a lit cigarette...

A sober person can make intelligent choices, a drinking alcoholic cannot.

Often an alcoholic/addict will change their booze/drug to "fix" things. Or maybe they stop going to bars and just "party" at home. Maybe they decide to just drink on Saturday nights (for example), however the bottom line is people who are not alcoholics or addicts don't really have to consider these types of temporary cures. Regular folks might party too much sometimes but they just get on with life. Not so with alcoholics or addicts.

Just look at the facts you have stated. How many times does someone promise to change and then not? How often do things start to look better and then get worse again?

As much as some folks think a real alcoholic can find a way to control themselves, or find some magic medicine to make things better, the only way I am aware to be sober is to not drink. The same holds true for other drugs.

Some folks can remain functional alcoholics their entire life. I have a friend who every night by bedtime is smashed, but she holds a good day job, has her own home, and is a well respected member of the community. She is in complete denial yet for whatever reason her lifestyle works for her. It is her business and I don't try to change it. I know better...

The people who put down the bottle or drug who are successful at it usually make the choice to get better themselves, because they want to be straight or simply because they are sick and tired of being sick and tired.

From your history you know as much as I do about the sadness and pain that comes from alcohol and drug abuse.

So I ask you... Is this what you want to live with or do you want to find someone who does not have this problem?

She fucked all 3 for sure, while drunk and high. You calling was interrupting her fun.

Don't call her again, shes obviously fucking around. No sense in her fucking you over anymore.

Go to the bar and find yourself some new strange.

Listen to your Mom....Trust me!! Like was said, girls will come and go...been there, done that. Your parents are right 99.9999% of the time....trust me on this also. I'm 41 years old tomorrow, and everything my parents ever told me would happen, or I was making a bad decision about was true. How did they know? Because they have wisdom well beyond your years. Listen to, respect, and spend time with your parents as much as you can. They won't be around forever, as mine have both been gone for years now....

Honestly if it were me i would have got rid of her long long ago and im one for hanging on too long just like yourself. Its not worth it IMO however i dont have personal experience per-say but i have close family with drug addictions and its hard enough to deal with that not living with them, much less being with them all the time. Also the lies will never stop, that is where i draw the line. If a woman has proven her self to not be trust worthy then she will always be that way. REMEMBER once a cheater always a cheater. NO MATTER HOW MUCH ALCOHOL OR DRUGS ARE INVOLVED. that is not an excuse.

In conclusion, get rid of her but dont make a complete ass of yourself in the process. Be the bigger person and just cut your losses no matter how you feel about her. It will all be better in the long run, just think about what the future would hold with and with out her.

and as always there are plenty of fish in the sea

Marry her.. Then, see how bad it really can get..

Cut her loose let the chips fall where they may.

She can fuck up without your support just as well as with it..

Carring for someone sometimes includes letting them go..

    Drop the GF.

Don't get caught up and drug down through the shit path in which she chooses to live her life.

You won't change her, all the red flags have been raised. Move on.

I didn't read all this... I don't need to. It's great that you wanna help this chick... you're 24 years old living at home. When you're independent enough to take care of yourself, you can worry about helping others. Until then, do as your mother tells you.

Why do you even need to ask about this? Some random druggie chick that you've been with for 3 months is being mouthy and shitty to your Mom. HELLO!!!! I like your Mom already because she's telling you to get out if you're gonna get involved in that stuff. (I'm not talking about drugs, I'm talking about letting someone like that drag you with them). If you think you're not, let me remind you she's driving YOUR car, or the one your parents helped you buy anyway.

Sorry to be harsh man, but you kinda sound like you need it. For you to even be thinking about taking the girls side on this... you're already getting sucked in. Watch out... this is the same kind of chick that will end up pregnant to keep a nice guy like you around.

Agreed!! Stop calling this chick, move on and out of your parents house. Post up a pic first so we can see what is causing your balls to slide up out of your sack and be a wussy.
