- 02 WS6 Stock
What is your fuel mileage on your stock/lightly modded 4th g
I've put a few hundred miles on an 02 WS6 that i just bought. I'm just wondering if my milage is on par.
I know there's many different parameters that affect gas milage but i'd like to just get a general idea on what everyone else is getting.
Next time i get gas it'll be the 4th time i fill up since i got the car. The person who had the car before me was running 83 in it for the 25k miles she owned it. I've ran 3 tanks of 93 in it so far and will continue to do so.
I've changed the oil and filter already. Tomorrow i will clean the MAF and change the fuel filter.
This last tank i've driven moderately and went WOT once.
This seems a little low to me. The person i bought it from said she would get about 280 miles out of a full tank.
What are you guys getting out of a full tank?

depends on how hard you drive your car but i CAN normally get 300-320 on a full tank of regular
I get 180 miles on the first half tank unless im just relly hard on it..120 on the second half

Red- 2001 Camaro SS
On 91 pump gas my full bolt-on '01 SS with 3.73's and LT's gets about 245 mpt. That's with the Fuel needle well under the "E" on the gauge. I've gotten as much as 315 out of a tank if it's all highway. My car's also got an A4 with a 2400 converter.

I get roughly 300 to a tank. Some days a little more, some a little less. I have a 2001 WS6 with SLP induction and Flowmaster muffler and a 2000 SS Camaro with headers, SLP induction and SLP exhaust and they both get within 10-20 miles of each other. Oh, and that is with 93 octane only. I wont use 87,89 or 91.

1999 Formula WS6 M6-sold- 2001 Silverado Z71
I think I usually get 250 to 270 miles per tank. Its about 20 to 21 mpg mixed driving and about 12 to 13 gallons at fill up.

Some people measure tanks differently...some wont the tank get below 1/4..and some people, like my mother, wont let it get below half a tank. Filling up at half a tank would stress me out!! I dont see how mom does it. That would feel like every other day being at a gas station.

there was one time i got 300+ miles before refilling, but that was a few yrs ago when i did a longer distance trip mostly all hwy (traveling ~70-80mph)...
i asked my mechanic about O2 sensors getting bad w/ age - he confirmed this is possible and can affect the fuel mixture determined by the PCM.
he also said that a lot of people are complaining about significantly lower mpg right now. mainly the reason being because it's winter and we've been pretty cold here - which means all the cold starts go through a lot more fuel because the engine runs rich until it reaches operating temp (which obviously takes much longer than in warm weather).

About 21mpg out of an 02 Z28 with a few mods. Started at about 25mpg when new. Beware the foot gets heavier with each mod.

I see 17 mpg consistently with my '98 z28 a4 all town driving. She hardly ever sees a highway drive. I'm not sure if thats good, bad, or alright. 137,5xx miles. Has good plugs and wires and runs good.

Around town: abot 11-13 mpgs. (love the sound of my SLP LM/1) Best mileage ever was 27.something on extended hiway cruize from Carmichaels Pa to Dayton OH. Usually average about 22-25 mpgs. ( mix of town and hiway )
