they are at 36-50k right now..and the new gen lsx is coming so expect the ls7 to get replaced or modified with D.I . i think you will see c6Z fall into the high 20s. I personally plan to buy one within 6 years ..as i want to get into hpde

no clutches can be under warranty for more then 10k it all matters what type of car you buy and if its new or GM certified used. Managers smoke tires on them too so i think im in the clear. But gettting back into the real topic i still think you should go with the c6 zo6

ANYWAY.. I'd say buy a 2003-2004 z06, BIGGEST bang for buck no doubt about it.

no your complety right if you buy some sort of high performance car tell the dealer to order you one and be there the day it comes of the transport. if you really want to spend the money on a new vette you can spend an extra 3 grand and go down to Kentucky and you can help build the engine and parts of the interior. but to put peace of mind on me and our dealer we always let the car warm up before we move them and we hardly get on them i just like doing it with new vettes cause there just crazy cars and the only thing we ever abuse is the clutch and maybe tires. we dont like destroying our cars, we are all chevy die hards.

yes they can be, and the managers wont get into trouble for doing it cuz they are managers. they can rip their employees for doing no doubt about it.

anywho, i would rather have a c6 with ls3 or c6z. but of course if the right deal came up on a c5z i mite have to take it

all about that goodwill. i have done many warranty alignments and brake jobs that have over 30k

Yep, that's what my buddy did when he ordered his new 98 WS6. They called him when it came in.
He was there shortly after, unfortunately it still didn't stop them from moving the car around, prepping it, they had the T-tops out of it etc....all before he showed up. George was pissed to say the least. 6'5" and 360 lbs is not the kind of guy you want on your bad side

Unfortunately it seems no matter what you do you can't avoid at least a little abuse on a brand new car. But it's still better than buying used, especially the kids that run these things through the ringer.

He never drives it,,,been pretty much sitting in a heated garage ever since.

He's taken it out a few times early on, but it pretty much hasn't moved for 10 years.
He's a super nice guy, excellent machinest and engine builder, been a great friend for 25 years.

1,000 miles?? Maybe 2,000, I don't remember exactly. They were put on the first 6 months he owned it. Just been sitting on a trickle charger, original wheels and tires removed and on the shelf, all in a climate controlled garage with the rest of his stuff.

I'm sure it does, I haven't sat in it in many years myself, but George is a finatic about storing his cars. Actually most of those 10-11 years it's always sat with a cover over it so I rarely saw the car naked

Why bother? It'll never be worth as much as it was new... I get way more satisfaction from driving my car than just knowing I own it.

You'd have to know him. Keep the nice stuff tucked away safe, and drive a beater 70 impala everywhere I'm the same with with some cars that are irriplacable. I have a couple here that haven't moved since the mid 80's.
