Billet Grills
I just got my car back from the bodyshop the other day and I told the guy to keep the old grill of b/c i am ordering a new billet grill of ebay. Does the billet grill get screwed into the old grill or does it replace the whole grill?

I have a stull billet grille - ripped old plastic one off, then installed with 4 screws.

It replaces and just screws into the fiberglass with four screws. Takes five to ten mins. tops.

Is there any other way of getting it in there WITHOUT screwing into the fiberglass? I really really dislike that Idea. I would love to find one that fits in the same way the old one does.

I don't know if anyone makes one? The holes aren't that big and if you went back to putting a stock grill on or somthing else you would never see them anyway. When you take your stock grill of the holes from the mounting tabs are just as ugly!

Wait what mounting tab holes are you talking about. If i remove the stock grille and put on an aftermarket one will there be holes in the outside of the bumper??

they are not holes in the outside of the bumper but on the inside where the tabs go. You should have no problem finding a pic of someone running their car without the front grill on. I had mine off for a week untill i got my new grill in. I didn't like the way it looked with the mounting tab holes. by the way it is a fuckin bitch to get that grill out!!! I had my car down at the body shop getting my bumper touched up and had the guy cut it out for me.

look at my profile for a pic of no grill, you can see the holes left behind. a billet covers them up

BitViper - I like the way yours looks from the front, do you have a link to more pics, so I can see it from some more angles?

I mounted mine over the top of the stock grill. I like the look and is blacked out. I may later remove it and paint the area behind the grill black, but looks good the way it is. Would just sit in more.

excelent! those are exactly what I was looking for. I hope you don't mind if I "borrow" your ideas. The whole car looks great BTW, same color as mine, I really like your gas cap. Where'd ya find that at?

P.S. Don't buy the 2006 ver!! It is differently shapped and will not fit. Only buy the 2000 year ver. for your f-body. That one is round.
