The Cardinals are a joke this year (read: rebuilding).

OTOH, while I currently reside in PHX my all-time favorite team is one with an even worse record this year: The Oakland Raiders!!!!

Can't help it. Been a fan since the early 60's and the old AFL days (check my age - yeah I'm old - I think it had something to do with the pirate image: Arrrgh matey!). I'm an LA native and when they moved to Los Angeles I became a season ticket holder.

FWIW: The "Surface of the Sun" is an allusion to "The Valley of the Sun" which is what the native Phonecians (that's what they call themselves) call the area that Phoenix is located in.

And at 110+ in the summer it sure feels like the surface of the sun...

No harm taken. It's the Internet afterall! And, while an old man I can appreciate what the military is going through these days.

Just so you know the WWII style barracks I was in back in the day (early 70's) had no AC...

Also, FWIW, the ex-wife was from south-eastern Ohio (Marrietta, Ohio, just across the Ohio river {some-godforsaken city} from West Virginia. I went there ever other year while were married - and we were married for 20 years!

I also was involved with a classmate (she and I were GF/BF in HS {early 1970's???} - things you did as an 17 yo kid - think backseat of the car - are much more interesting as an adult) back in 2002 and she lived in Indiana. yeah, lot's of humidity in the heartland...

Besides, To-kill-ya is the only alcohol (certain high grade brands) I can drink in excess and I don't suffer a hang over the nexy day

hey....don't worry about it. At your age testosterone levels begin to drop dramatically and make you crave chick drinks. Margarita's are the natural progression to wine coolers.

those are good but I believe this year the best tix might be that 27th game between Atlanta and N.O. There could be a ton riding on that game....the division and homefield advantage with a bye. Still a lot of football between now and then so all that could change but that game is shaping up to be pretty damn important to a lot of nfc teams.
