2000 Grand Prix GTP- 2000 Trans Am WS6 M6
I've done some pretty stupid things (ask the Spazpalooza Crew), but I learn from my mistakes. I WAS a retard...I am currently moving away from that (I still do some stupid shit).
I also know when enough is enough. Wet roads is something you don't fuck around with when you have a high powered car. If I can't get traction on a perfectly dry road, I know I'm sure-as-hell not getting good traction on a wet road.
He's a retard.

Exactly. The guy was passing in a no passing zone, on a busy road that was also wet, and he wasnt wearing a seatbelt. That was error on the drivers part. I dont like to disrespect the dead, but it was all his fault. It wouldnt matter whether he was driving a supercharged drag car or a Prius. Driving like that and ignoring safety will get you killed.

Custom Swirly Black- 2001 WS6 M6
^ This really sums it up, no matter what. I think we were all alittle risky when younger, just some smarter than others.
But...they let anyone have a license. Don't even need insurance, it's only a slap on the wrist for no proof of insurance. My only point with that is, if it costs you alot more, you respect it alot more.
Also, imagine if they actually taught people how to drive. My driver's ed was through the school district and it was still a joke. I don't think anyone failed it, just pumped in and out so they can pay a measly $100 for license. The road test should be much more difficult, and people should have re-do the road test every X amount of years. State makes money, people are safer, insurance prices drop, etc.
Doesn't Germany charge like $3000 for a license? I think even with the autobahn they have a lower crash percentage than us. Been a while since I've seen those facts, so I might be alittle off. But they must have been doing something right.
Just my .02
RIP, never would wish that to happen anyone.

Not sure on the exact $$ amount, but I know it isn't just read a pamphlet and take a test and off you go. They have mandatory driving classes and basic first aid classes. You are also required to carry a basic first aid kit, 3 warning triangles, and a fire extinguisher at all times. Big fines if you don't have it.

you cant crash head on with a bus, not wearing your seatbelt and expect to live and tell the story... Dumbass must of froze up and paniced instead of opting for ditching it...

Troopers say Shores was not wearing a seat belt
darwin at its finest...
this proves more reason why:
-insurance rates increase
-drivers ed should be a full year not 1 semester
-increase strictness on drivers ed tests.

I wouldnt go as far as having more remorse for the car than the guy, but he is kinda stupid. Also I think ppl think hes a dumbass because he got killed in an LS1. I'm sure if he got killed in a civic, horsepower would be the last thing mentioned.

Unfortunate that he wasn't lucky enough to learn from his mistake like many of us have been.

I dont think kids should be allowed to get a drivers license until 18. Furthermore i think there should be a limiting chip in the car for the first 2 years.
