Adding traction control
My last f-body had traction control. I got a great deal on a 2000 SS with only 5900 miles on it, but it didn't have traction control. Can anyone give me a list of the parts needed to add traction control to my car? Thanks.

First I have seen this question asked on here. My guess is that this is not only an involved swap, but a costly one at that -- axles, reluctor rings, backing plates, wheel sensors, wiring harness, switch... just to start. I'm not sure how your car is configured, does it have a dual circuit rear brake setup? Does the brake block and/or antilock system need swapped? What about the controller for the system?

My question is why would you want it in the 1st place???
Back in the good old days Traction Control was excercised between your brain and right foot...

the traction control on our cars is the most crappy set up ever made... if you want TC you're probably better off buy a car with it on...

Navy Blue Metallic- `98 Formula M6 HdTp
PAJeff has it right (axles, reluctor rings, backing plates, wheel sensors, wiring harness, switch) all are needed to switch from a 3 channel to 4 channel ABS. Add to that the extra cables and TCS Coupler. It was a $495 option but will cost alot more to replicate now.
IMO TCS is nothing but a common sense inhibitor. Never had it and never needed it, even in the snow.Craig

not to mention a new ebcm or have your current one reprogrammed but on a 2000 there is prolly no reprogramming seeing how the dealer will have to order one with acr preprogrammed. my guess a new ebcm ~$900 my z doesnt have it and i dealt with a wyoming winter and didnt need it.
btw common sense will keep you from ruining your tires better than a damn ebcm
