Red Tint Jewelcoat- 2008 Trailblazer SS
I like to keep my car doing what it was designed for....accelerating.
19's and 20's (and most 18's) just don't have the grip because of a serious lack of sidewall.
I drive to the track on 15's.

Black- 1999 Camaro Z28
For me, I won't go over 17"
I've seen guys with 18's and some look good but you need to lower the car to really get the look. IMO 17" Deep dish c5's on a lowered camaro = raging fire sex. One day I will demonstrate (the car, not the raging fire sex.)

That's not what Luos is talking about. The low profile tires are horrible for straight line traction, no sidewall. Even the drag radials made for 17 inch rims on up aren't the best thing in the world for drag strip passes.
For that you want a 15 inch wheel and as much sidewall (tire height) you can fit.

I personally wouldn't go bigger than 17's on these cars.

Here's a pic of my Camaro SS with an 18x10.5" Fikse FM5 with a 295 35 18 BFG G-Force KDW2. Sorry for the low quality of the picture. It was taken with my camera phone.

I only took a couple of pics of my wheels with my camera phone. I ust recently added the other pic to Flikr. Here's the link:

When I get a chance, I'll take some high quality pictures with my digital camera and post them online. However, that won't happen until around the Nov. 1st/2nd time frame.

Thank you for the compliments. BTW, I have always wanted to get a set of Fikse wheels since I first saw them back in 1994. It only took me 16 years to finally order a set. I decided ordered a set April of this year and I finally received them this past September. I can't tell you how much better the car looks now. I'll try to get some good pics of the car . Who knows, maybe I'll try for Car of the Month.
