I had the older bmr springs with bilsteins.. good ride but not low enough. now I still have the same bilsteins but with sportlines and every bump in the road is a big slam... it's made me realize that bilsteins are great on stock height cars, good on slightly lowered cars and crappy on cars that are lowered alot.

Ive got bilsteins also but I picked up a kit from bilstein that comes with hypercoil springs. I tried to look for a set-up that has some testing done with the two different components. It dropped the hight a bit

I have the Koni/Stano combo. I have the front spring on the lower perch and I love the stance! With 17" wheels and 285 rubber the top of the tire tucks nicely behind the front fender. I have my shocks set pretty stiff for Autox so the ride is a little rough on the crappy roads, good roads it rides really nice. I do have long tubes and cats, my drivers side cat has seen a few speed bumps, and with the trans am nose it seems to find the pavement entering/exiting some parking lots.

the company that bmr uses straight up told strano that they dont have a issue with copying others designs and springs....strano gets his springs made from a top notch german spring manufacturer to his specs (i think their name starts with a V) ...so the material is top notch..

i run the new BMR springs and happy with them. BMR came out with the new springs because BMR customers wanted BMR to make a much lower spring than the 1" they offered.

Strano springs with Koni's = very happy

I am very happy with my Strano springs and the Koni S/A shocks. I drive the car in nice weather and the ride is firm, but not rough or abusive. I like the Koni adjustability very much. For the street I run both front & rear on the softest settings. For autocross I usually run the front 2/3 of the way to full stiff 4/6 sweeps and the rear 1/3 of the way up from full soft. For autocross, I run 17x11 ZR1 replicas with 315 35 17 Nitto NT05's on all 4 corners.

Although Strano may not be a sponsor, I have been very happy with his customer service and products.
    Thank you

I have to say I like the KYB AGX's I do a lot of backroad runs through the state forest and long as you adjust them right they handle fine at high speed and I lower the settings for regular cruising.
As far as BMR vs Strano's I have the new BMR's in my TA and my friend has Strano's in his SS and we both have KYB's and honestly I see very little difference in the ride between the springs. Strano may use a different material but I didn't wanna wait months for a set and have to say the BMR's came in a couple days and have been happy so far. Been over a year and they are still good. It's Vogtland or something similar that makes Strand springs I had a set of Vogtland or whatever the name was on my DD Celica.

Curious how much the strano/koni combo lowers the stance. and/or another good shock to be paired with the stranos. I'm looking to lower the car about 1.25-1.5"

for your needs the stranos will work perfectly...the stranos are designed for the characteristics of the konis...there is really only 2 shocks that are worth a damn in terms of handling lowering springs..konis being the best..and blistiens being a far second

Thanks for the help.. and let me try to get this straight even though I know its been beat to death elsewhere; for a BASIC lowering job, an adjustable panhard, adjustable LCAs would be required, with a few other items recommended to help keep everything in proper geometry.

This car is just gonna be a daily driver for me,no racing or anything crazy, so if I could get away w/ the bilsteins,I'd much rather spend the money on a new rear end or something. Instead of 1200 in shocks alone.

btw, are you still runnin the BMR trak pak, or did you switch it up?

the only thing really required/highly suggested is adj. panhard...but all that you listed is suggested

I have sportlines with slp bilsteins. even tho they are almost certainly going to sag one day and my car is so low that it scrapes on everything... I have to admit that the look of the stance is mean as hell and my favorite out of every spring I've used.
