It's annoying Lately, as soon as I'm in the shower for a few minutes, Pedro starts up. Then, one by one the dogs chime in (Chloe is usually the first) and then the next thing you know, the whole house is screaming their heads off and I have to actually get out of the shower, soaking wet and tell them all to shut the hell up

But, they do and I go back and finish my shower. I'm thinking it's all this cute little game they devised just to f with me. They probably all laugh at me when I get back in the shower

Ever tried the "bark off" ? Our dogs were doin' the same thing to my wife and she bought a bark off, for 10.00 why not try? Anyway it is supposed to let off a high pitched squeal that humans can't hear when they start up. So far so good. It stopped the barking 90% immediately. She can at least shower without the neighbors hearing.

No. I haven't tried those. I have a hard time thinking they would work. My dogs are all pretty good. Generally all I have to do is clap my hands and they all quiet down and come running no matter where they are.

Pedro has just decided to be an instigator lately. He's old and I think he doesn't like it when I leave the room for more than a few minutes anymore. I even had to put one of his playpens in my office so he can hang with us when I'm in there.

Glad to see Pedro is feeling better. Will he let you handle him? Dinga is the one that instigates at Mom's house. If things are getting a little too quiet for him, he'll hang upside down, flap his wings and let out this earsplitting screech/squawk. The dogs go nuts!

And, I don't handle that bird unless I have to However, when I want to and he fusses, I let him know right away that I'm not gonna put up with his shenanigans Like I said, he's just a butt head! He was my Dad's bird and only my Dads. But, we have an understanding. I'm the boss and he lives a very cushy life

Dinga requires a full sized bath towel and leather gloves, that's only if he decides to be Charles Lindbergh. He's not a good pilot, crashes into shit, and gets pissed off. Usually at us. So to recage him is always an ordeal. Thankfully he refuses to come out most of the time. He's got a huge cage on rollers so Mom wheels him around. Molly, the other grey, is nice, she doesn't mind being handled. Not the "village idiot" as my mother so aptly nicknamed Dinga.
