I didn't know you bred 'em. I've never seen a pie bald or spotted Dachshund. Do you have any pics? All I've seen are the red and black and tan ones. My mother has an elderly (and extremely obese) dachshund Winnie La Pooh. Do you still breed them? Winnie's getting up there 15 and I'm kinda looking for a replacement for mom, when the time comes. Did you breed the Standard or Mini sized ones. Winnie is a Standard but Mom likes the smaller ones.

I thought you knew. For almost 20 years My parents also bred them along with Dobies. I had standard, mini and 'tweenies'

I do have some pictures. Actually, a ton of them on another hard drive somewhere in the office. I transfered most from my computers to save space. I'll find some of the Piebalds for you.

And no. I haven't bred since 2006. Everyone that is still living is retired, altered and living the high life. All but Chloe. She's not altered. I never did breed her though. I never found that perfect long hair Red Piebald male to match her with. So, she will be 8 years old next January and still a virgin Sarah is the last of my standards and she is a small standard. Altough, now shes a very heavy standard. 35 lbs

But, I never ship puppies. I only bred when I had a full waiting list and always knew what I was breeding for.

I think I have some Pie pics on photobucket. I'll check

Aww so cute, especially the black and white one with that little snoopy face. I like the Dachsies with white on 'em, flashy! I really like Dachsies, except they're like Hoover vacuum cleaners We had "outside"dogs, 3 chow mixes the douchebag neighbors moved off and left that lived in our yard/garage. Whenever Winnie would catch us not looking, when she was out with the inside dogs, she'd be in the outside foodpan hogging in up like a pig-n-shit, at her heaviest she was 35lbs. Mom's got enough dogs, really, but I know she likes Dachsies. I'll look around here when the time comes for a mini for her, though I doubt I'll be able to find one as flashy and cool lookin' as the ones you bred. Good Work!

Thanks. Leah is also Chloe's Mama I wanted to pull the long hair gene from Leah (although she was smooth coated, I knew she carried the long hair gene. Part of why I bought her) and that is how I pulled the Piebald gene and added the long hair gene to produce Chloe. What I wanted most was the long hair piebalds and Chloe was going to be the dog to give them to me. But, I promised myself the night she was born, that if I didn't find that perfect Red and Cream long haired mini pie male... that I wouldn't breed her. And, I never did.

She was going to give me that all desired (for my breeding program anyway ) Long hair brindle piebald. Very rare.

Chloe is a long hair Black and Tan Brindle who's daddy was a long hair Red Brindle (my Noah) and of course, Leah, her mom, a smooth coated (although carrying the long hair gene) Red Pie Smooth. So, she carries for Piebald, Chocolate, Brindle and long hair (among other things, but those are most important for what I was looking to produce). With the right male, she could produce that wanted long hair Red Brindle Piebald.

Probably sounds confusing. But, I know what I mean

My Chloe... She's getting old and gray now.

Boy, we're pretty sure he's a Chow/Shetland Sheepdog mix (Can't be certain, he was a rescue)

She's not that old! You ought to see Winnie. Why'd you quit breeding? You could still have a litter a year or so. Maybe not Chloe but another. Seems like you're good at it and know what you're doin'.
