since it's more of an alternator question I'll put it in the general area.
Do you have a volt meter? You can get one for about $10 at radio shack....handy tool to have around. Put that across the battery with the car running and see what kinda voltage you have.....should be 14.4 if the alternator is doing it's job.

mostly likeky is your alternator. In my case I had low volts in my car always, even when i replace the alternator. The car will never shut off or act weird. I tried everything from a new battery, new alternator, cleaning the grounds, etc.
The problem stopped when I replaced the factory wires for #4 wires. My voltage stayed up at 14v all the time. It will drop to 11.4v before when the car was sitting. i did a write up about it a long time ago.

Im just saying that I replaced the wires after I run out of options since everything else is new. Don't forget to check that the cable terminals and good and clean. Also the little wire that connects to the alternator. Check the big grounds too. I also read that the PCM controls the voltage in the car too. The fans in our cars suck alot to amperage when they turn on.
I replace the wires also because it looked to me that it was a small wire for such a big engine. I think that i spend like 30 bucks in all the material and i replace all the wires.
