See the sad thing is, my friends and I were into Tolkien in '96, how many years before Jackson made the films? Anyway I think they should have made the Hobbit 1st. Whatever. They're FUBARed w/out del Torro. He did a good job on Hellboy2 though I'm kinda thinkin' the 1st was better. We'll see. I've been reading "The Hobbit" to my 5yr old for 6 months, she loves it ! She also likes the animated 70's version. My wife used to sing 15 Birds in 5 Fir trees to her when she was a baby !

See the sad thing is, my friends and I were into Tolkien in '96, how many years before Jackson made the films? Anyway I think they should have made the Hobbit 1st. Whatever. But you have to agree, in comparison to other hollywood adaptations, the LOTR trilogy was one they managed to do well, as opposed to completely fucking shit up like they normally do
