1) Ditching the vehicle because they are afraid. Afraid because they know as the chase progresses, the chances increase of them getting caught by roadblock,run out of gas,accident etc...

Well, a moron who tries to run 100 miles up the freeway on the fastest bike available will have to worry about a helicopter. The guy who knows how to ride and knows the local roads will be long gone and off the bike in 3 minutes.

Doubt it. Most of the ppl running from cops dont know the street very well. The place I use to work at got robbed like 2 yrs back. They finally cought the guy because he didnt know how to get on the highway (even though our town is only a couple square miles) VERY few ppl can escape a chopper. They also have heat seeking technology so you cant hide anywhere. You could only hope they dont see you getting off the bike and into a group of people.
