98ish supra vs my z
i just got smoked by a supra so bad on the freeway i couldn't believe it.
Did about a 80 pull he was messing with me when i hit it and it looked like i was beating him till he really got on it, he pulled about 10 cars on me and let off.
it was defiantly built to the nuts tho, i gave him a thumbs up and accepted defeat at least it was by a bad ass car

Like someone before me stated.....can't win'em all. Supras are formidable cars.

Once the boost comes in on those cars and it probably had a big turbo, its insane.

yeah the 2jz motor is pretty stout
Owning a 9 sec ricer is like coming out of the closest: at first you'll surprise everyone, but in the end you're still gay

LOL, that's pretty sweet to be honest. I need to start rolling around here in a real car so I can start having those experiences again. Congrats on a good death

.....and another falls to a multi valve 6.. At least he let you make some noise before spankin' ya.. I wounder what kind of power he was putting down.. It's not like you're driving a car that is considered slow... However I do suspect more and more ls1 bolt on cars will fall to 6ers..

I've seen a Supra with a Titan Motorsports 3.4L engine pushing 700whp at the wheels lose to a bolt ons C5 Corvette from a dig (winning $100 in the process). The Supra was gaining big time at the end of the track, but the Corvette made it to the finish before it could pass. I think the C5 ran a 12.7@110mph, and the Supra ran a 12.9@128mph. The C5 was on drag radials and the Supra was on street tires. Power is nothing if it doesn't get to the road or you can't drive, which in the Supra's case was both.

I painted a TT Supra 6spd with a built motor and a single turbo conversion. The original motor blew on the dyno passing 600hp. If your going rice that's they way to do it. Those motors can take alot more than they came with not to metin handle, shift and drive well. Hell I'd kill to own one. Wouldn't even mind a 300ZX TT. Not really into EVO's but the WRX STI is a comfortable car but it needed to be jap sped and come in 2dr turbo. We get the ghetto versions of what they have. Everything there has a turbo or 2 even subaru legacy's. I wanted to import a JDM car when I lived in FL since no real inspections there like in Houston.
