You should be able to fix that with some tuning

Alright guys, I went through the install yesterday. We got the headers in and we decided to call it a night when the motor mounts were being stubborn.
The car had (4) o2 sensors, I have to delete 2. I got extensions which im assuming go to the front o2's. How do I plug the other 2?

Also on those motor mounts is there a better way other then using an alignment tool? It's off by the smallest amount and it's frustrating. 4 out of 8 are in

i just ordered a set of LT headers with the air provision but just read the post about removing the "air". And as of right now the air motor works fine but is there any benefit to blocking off the provisions on the headers and removing the air??

The secondary air system operates on cold startup and pumps filtered air into the exhaust manifolds to help the cats come up to operating temp sooner. The pump motor may run for 1-2 minutes before shutting off. Removing it takes a lot of clutter out of your engine bay and really cleans up the look. There is no performance benefit either with or without it. The only caveats are that you have to tune your PCM to delete the trouble codes and removing the system may violate state emission laws.

Also makes changing the plugs easer as well. Less in the way. I just put Hooker LTs in this weekend, but had shorties on before. Mine is an 02Z, so didnt have EGR, and I deleted the AIR when I put the shorts in. As for the rear O2s, either have the code deleted through tune, or buy some sims, better to delete the code IMO. Another thing, when you first start the car after the install, dont be surprised with the smoke, it happens, just the excess crap burning off the tubes.

Yes you need gaskets. if you're lucky like me, you can reuse them.

Yea I knew it would happen. I did the catback the week before and that happened there. My neighbor saw it before me and came running over saying my car was on fire so of course I freaked for a second, but thanks

that little black line is a hard line vacum hose that goes to the DV valve......when you pull it off just plug the nipple on the DV with a vacum cap
