Teach em early!
My 6 year old loves to work on "Daddy's Z." We gotta start em young and let em know all about it!

I hear ya.
My 3 year old LOVES to 'drive' my cars. She sits in the drivers seat and fucks up all the settings on stuff.
Got a couple pics of it as well. Pretty cute.
She has even asked for the keys....

Navy Blue Metallic- 2000 T/A Firehawk M6
wash mine :-P
I hit it with a rag to clean of some of the lighter dust but the engine itself could use a little cleaning.

1) bag off pcm, battery, and fuses.
2) Spray engine bay with water from hose on very very low pressure(pretty much rinsing it)
3) run engine for 5 minutes or so with hood closed
4) Open hood, spray engine degreaser over everything quickly, close the hood to allow the steam to get trapped within the engine bay.
5) let it sit for 10-20minutes
6) Spray engine again with hose to get rid of degreaser
7) hit any dirty parts with rag.

I agree. This is how I got into the field...and into cars in general. I had to vote for our mayor a few days ago and while I let my folks out of my car, a little boy said "IT'S A RACE CAR...A RACE CAR WITH ALOT OF NUMBERS!!" Let em imagine and let em loose with their dreams.

Good to see! I remember wandering over to my neighbor's garage as a kid to watch him work on his '40 Chevy. I have been wrenching on stuff ever since and now my daughter is helping me.

sadly, there's probably some stupid group or woman out there saying that he shouldn't be around them or working with you at that age. She'd rather have him watching Barney.

Pretty soon he'll be able to take care of the pesky back plugs for ya
I started doing spark plugs when I was about eight because I could get to them easier, while dad sat back and had beer

My mother still smacks my father on the back of his head and screams
"LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO OUR SON!! HE SHOULD BE LOOKING FOR A WIFE AND PLANNING ON GIVING US GRANDCHILDREN!!"
Cars are easier to work on tho.
